Emma Doyle Art - Bio

Hi, I'm Emma, I'm a self-taught artist originally from Bray in Co. Wicklow. I have been painting, drawing and sketching since early childhood. My most recent work has been focused on architectural illustrations of quaint pubs, shop fronts and buildings facades throughout Ireland. I meticulously draw out each subject in pencil, then add vibrant colours using kuretake Japanese watercolours. I then add fine detail lines using sakura pens.

Once I have completed an original painting , I scan each work to a high resolution and print my images on archival photographic paper. Each print is mounted in an ivory window mount and signed for authenticity. I also produce mugs, tote bags, coasters and more from my home workshop.

I have previously exhibited my original work in Bray, Galway, Dublin and most recently Clare.  I also had a pitch for 9 years exhibiting my work at Merrion Square open air art gallery in Dublin. In July 2019 I relinquished my pitch at Merrion Square and quit the day job of 16 years in Bray and moved West to Ennistymon in Co. Clare to focus on my art full-time...so far so good!
